We have a new feature for Call Centers: you can now have more than one exit action when people are waiting on the line. They can press a specific key on their phone to be routed to a different destination.
1. Go to “Applications” and then click on “Call Centers.”
2. Open the call center you are looking for, scroll down the page, and locate the option “Exit Key Actions.” Click the plus button to add the exit key and its destination.
Note that we can add up to 12 keys: 0 to 9, * (asterisk), and # (pound). The destinations can be anything, from an IVR to an extension, with many options to choose from.
3. Be sure to let your listeners know about the available options with a recording that explains them. You can include this recording either as a greeting or as part of your music-on-hold track.
If you have the track, you can provide it to us, and we’ll upload it for you. If not, we can provide a quote and create the track for you.
4. Once you’ve finished adding the desired exit action keys, save your changes and start the call center.
